The Chiana Valley
Torrita di Siena is the natural gateway between the Chiana Valley, the largest valley in central Italy, candidate for Italian Capital of Culture 2026 and the Val d'Orcia, UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2004.

It's one of the smallest towns in the Chiana Valley and its ancient village is located inside the elliptical castle. Nowdays was recently awarded as European Capital of Blues and is famous for the folkloristic Palio dei Somari.
Pagum Place
Our home stands in the heart of the ancient castle in the most scenic street of the village and it is the result of a skilful renovation of a building dating back to the 13th century.
The name of the residence remember the district of Porta a Pago, which has a dual origin, most likely deriving from the toll that had to be paid in medieval times to access the walls through the nearby gate. "Pago" is the italian of "pay".
You will enjoy the total tranquility of this corner of the territory which has remained genuine, less frequented by tourist routes, but no less fascinating.
